Biographical Statistics
Jami Smith has quickly carved out a space for herself in the gay comedy scene while becoming a rising star in the LGBT comedy community. Having performed alongside such acts as Erin Foley, Jackie Hoffman, Jessica Kirson, Jason Dudey, Dana Goldberg, and Sandra Valls, Smith debuted on the comedy scene booking both The 2011 Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, and The 2011 Come Out Laughing Comedy Showcase at the Long Beach Laugh Factory, among other several other shows.
In the summer of 2011, Smith became the comedy editor for The Advocate. She not only travels between New York, DC and Los Angeles on the comedy circuit, but also maintains a regular column on Advocate.com, interviewing top celeb comics on a monthly basis. She also hosts a comedy Twitter feed for The Advocate called @Gaysayer and was voted one of the “Top 25 Twitter Accounts To Follow” by Gay.com in 2011, alongside with RuPaul and Rachel Maddow.
